Greg Raymer, who was at The Bellagio for the Five Diamonds Poker Classic said that he was heading to his room at around 2 AM after 6 or more hours of playing when the incident happened. He further stated that when he arrived on his floor, he found Cassim, who was walking 30 to 40 feet passed him, stopped at the door next to his room.

Raymer continued, “He appeared to fish around in his pocket and began banging on the door and calling a woman’s name saying ‘Let me in, I locked myself out, wake-up.’”

He shared that since Cassim seemed to be very believable, he proceeded to his door only to be tussled by Joy, who appeared out of nowhere, and Cassim, who began to act sober.

After a few minutes fighting, security guards came after hearing Raymer’s calls for help. However, the respondents weren’t quick enough, so the two suspects even made it out of the casino, only to be caught and arrested five months later in San Diego.
